I was skeptical in taking my car to the mechanic because Im a woman. And Im scared Ill get taken advantage of but thankfully the guys here were very nice, and answered all of my questions. They were very helpful, they also worked around my schedule as much as they could! I would definitely recommend this Mechanic shop. I took my car for a dent and scratches, and it looks totally NEW now. No scratches or dents anymore ! And the exact same color as my scratch!

For reference: I went to Gold Coast Auto body in Chicago and was quoted $2300 for a dent removal and paint repair for my bumper and rear quarter panel.

Sam did it ALL for $1000. Honestly...blown away with the quality and am planning on bringing my my other vehicles in for touchups etc.

I had an outstanding experience here. My front car door was scratched and I tried to fix it myself with some auto touchup paint that was a disaster. I took this in expecting to be quoted hundreds of dollars at least. The people here was so nice - they buffed out the door and fixed it to my amazement - at no charge. While I was lucky (was told this doesn't always work) I wouldn't hesitate to take my car there again and am recommending this place to my neighbors and friends.

We had a challenging issue with our car; our car had been broken into, so the front door was very much misaligned and not at all sealed. Mid America Body Shop handled this repair expertly and timely. After we picked up our car, both my wife and I said to each other, when we left the shop, if we ever need any body work in the future, we would take it to Mid America.

Fantastic work at unbeatable rates! I damaged some body panels and the dealer's body shop wanted to replace everything with an estimate in the thousands. Great shop, Great prices, polite employees and get back to you ASAP. Crashed the front of my car, destroying my hood and there was some internal damage as well. They let me know exactly what they would do and how much it would cost. I got the car back looking and feeling brand new.

Called him over left my car with him, and he did a great job. Did extra things for me and saved me money on other thing. Sam was very honest, delivered on time and dogs a beautiful job. I have a black car, so you would see shabby work. If I ever need anything else, I will be going back to see Sam at Mid America body shop. Which I knew how to post a before and after picture.

Beware: theres an auto shop next to Mid America called Sams auto shop, and I thought that was the Sam I got a recommendation for but it is not.

Scraped three panels on my 2019 Prius Prime parallel parking into an El piling (not proud of that). Didnt want to use insurance. Got a $3200 estimate from another well-reviewed Evanston body shop. The Mid American guys came in $2000 lower. Drove me to the train after I dropped it off on Wednesday, picked it up on Friday afternoon. Looks brand new!! Highest recommendation!

I had wonderful experience when I dealt with brothers Sam and his younger brother. First I explained what I want, they listened the details and I right away realize they are very professionals. Gave my car on time. There were hail damages on my car. There were spots which were not so visible but they took care of each and every one. The paint job and body work is excellent.
I will always recommend this shop to all my friends as well as my family and since its a family own business, they dont want any bad name for this business. An awesome experience of this unique body shop. Loved it.

Fantastic service and quality of work. The brothers were courteous, kind, and accommodating. They installed a new electronic latch on the back door of our Kia for only the cost of the part, no labor. They fixed a dent and scrape on the rear bumper and quarter panel for FAR LESS than the dealership would have charged (far less than what it would have cost had insurance paid for it, too, for that matter). They replaced the right side blinker for free. This was all one visit, and our total cost was very reasonable. They're not a big enough outfit to be able to offer a courtesy car, so be aware of that if you're a one-car family and can make alternate plans if your car needs to stay with them a few days. But that's no reason to give them less stars. I'd happily go there again. Thanks guys!

I hit a snowdrift which bent the wheel well and made it hard to open and close driver door on a minivan. Stopped in to see Bassam at Mid America, based on a recommendation of another car repair shop in Evanston. Bassam perfectly and quickly fixed my car while I waited.The price was much much less than I expected. BTW, I almost stopped at the next door auto body shop called "Sam's", -- do not confuse Sams with Mid America (even though Mid America has the brothers Sam and Bassam working there. ---- I highly recommend Mid America.

These guys really know their stuff, they have wonderful customer service, and they get the job done in a timely manner. They service all of our family vehicles. Recently, I went in for a rear windshield replacement, and they took care of everything and gave me back a fully detailed car. I dropped my Nissan Altima last week At Mid America body shop. The people their are very friendly and nice, I highly felt safe and comfortable to do a business with them. Sams was very nice and proficient. In short, you need body shop ? Sam is your guy.

Scraped three panels on my 2019 Prius Prime parallel parking into an El piling (not proud of that). Didnt want to use insurance. Got a $3200 estimate from another well-reviewed Evanston body shop. The Mid American guys came in $2000 lower. Drove me to the train after I dropped it off on Wednesday, picked it up on Friday afternoon. Looks brand new!! Highest recommendation!

Fantastic service and quality of work. The brothers were courteous, kind, and accommodating. They installed a new electronic latch on the back door of our Kia for only the cost of the part, no labor. They fixed a dent and scrape on the rear bumper and quarter panel for FAR LESS than the dealership would have charged (far less than what it would have cost had insurance paid for it, too, for that matter). They replaced the right side blinker for free. This was all one visit, and our total cost was very reasonable. They're not a big enough outfit to be able to offer a courtesy car, so be aware of that if you're a one-car family and can make alternate plans if your car needs to stay with them a few days. But that's no reason to give them less stars. I'd happily go there again. Thanks guys!

So I needed help with the bottom of my car and got a recommendation for Mid America Body Shop. Sam, his brother, and staff were amazing. Sam is really nice and agreed to fix my problem. All I had to do was show up when I had time for them to take a look and do a quick fix. I was in and out of the shop in less than 30 minutes.
Beware: there’s an auto shop next to Mid America called “Sam’s auto shop”, and I thought that was the Sam I got a recommendation for but it is not.
Overall great and fast service. I am beyond satisfied.

Had body work done my midsize SUV done a couple of months ago. I was extremely happy with the end results. My car was completely repaired and looked brand new like it's never been in an accident. I was involved in an accident directly across the street, the other body shop came out trying to recruit the business. But, Sam from Mid America, came after the fact. My fender was up against my tire and recommended I don't drive it like that so my tire wouldn't blow. He said to give him a minute, went inside his shop and got a pulley and pulled out mu fender from my tire and left. All this to say, all he said was if I needed anything he was across the street and walked away. Well I've dealt with lots of people and this was an honest man. Called him over left my car with him, and he did a great job. Did extra things for me and saved me money on other thing. Sam was very honest, delivered on time and dogs a beautiful job. I have a black car, so you would see shabby work. If I ever need anything else, I will be going back to see Sam at Mid America body shop. Which I knew how to post a before and after picture.

I had a 2005 Mercedes that was in a very bad accident
I thought the Insurance Company would total the car, but instead I was faced with repairing it instead. Mid America completely rebuiilt the car including the engine.
The work was impeccable and very professional!
I ended up trading the car in a few months later and got a very good value for the car
I never really paid a penalty for the accident, ,thanks to the work performed by Mid Amerfca.

I had run over a large rock that had separated my fender from the bumper.. and with winter coming up, it was just a matter of time before the car would've started to rust. I had taken it to 2 other places prior that had quoted me $300-500 more than what this shop had for the same work. After reading some reviews and hearing out how Sam would repair the damage, I was ready to leave the car. Sam was able to complete the repairs in less than 2 days! Not only was the work done right, I was able to be on my way! An honest shop that does the job right. Don't let the plain storefront or the bitter suburban-mom yelp reviews discourage you. Look at the majority of happy customers!

I worked with Mid America Body Shop (MABS) March of 2016. They are located on Main in Evanston, Il. My experience was fantastic. On pulling in, my car was immediately received. I had 10 different pieces of body damage including, scrapes and knicks across 3 doors, dented mirror, cracked wind shield, dented bumper, cracked tail light, dented right wheel hubcap. I was given an honest estimate immediately and scheduled for when to return for repair. I was told clearly that I would need to leave my car for a week. As the world would have it I was required to reschedule for a week later, this was received well and the shop was flexible with ordering the parts and when I could come in. They accepted cash, credit, check as payment. The car was completed in 2 days of an estimated 5. All the replacements look immaculate, including the paint and the rear right hubcap wheel, which I had been told by two autobodies could not be done without replacing the entire panel (cost circa 2000). My vehicle is a 2010, it looks like a 2016 after their paint job. In addition to all the impressive repairs the shop cleaned the inside of my car. Vacuumed all my floors, mats, cushions,seats. glossed/dusted my panels, dash. There were paper mats on the floors after it was cleaned. AND to add this excellence, I had a rental car. They brought my car back to budget (so I could return my rental) and rode with me back to MABS. The price for all their work was very reasonable. They are conveniently located across from the gas station, which you will likely find useful. I have worked with about 5 autobodies in 30 years. I give them my highest recommendation.

Being rear ended by a semi truck was not a pleasant experience. Having my bumper repaired by Mid America was a very pleasant experience! My car was repaired in 24 hours, a day sooner than promised. I was provided a ride to and from the car rental shop as well. Very friendly and sincere place. My car looks looks great and I truly appreciate this unfortunate experience turning into a positive one. Definitely recommend.

I had some minor body needed on my Toyota Prius that I had received a very expensive quote on elsewhere. They found ways to do the repairs within my budget and they were done promptly and came out great. They were also very nice to work with. I was very pleased.

I picked up my SUV today and they did a fantastic job. My SUV is a bit of an oddity in the US ('cause it was brought nation-wide for only two years) and the plastic cladding that was scratched in the accident would have been very expensive to order from the manufacturer. The option of painting the cladding to match the SUVs body color, instead of ordering the stock grey ones, was a magnificent idea. It looks like a completely different vehicle, I've fallen in love again with my big behemoth SUV with the beautiful paint job they did. Perfect color match.

This body shop is fantastic!! I was devastated when I came out to my car parked on the street, to see that it had been a victim of a hit and run. The damage was extensive, requiring the entire driver's side to be replaced (including the fender, bumper, and wheels). Sam and Bassum did an amazing job. Not only did they repair the car in half the time other body shops in the city estimated, but they were fair on pricing, kept in touch throughout the entire process and in the end the car looked beautiful and brand new! They made the best out of a stressful situation and treated me like family. I highly recommend them to anyone needing body work done on their car.

Sam is such a wonderful experienced and knowledgeable car technician and mechanic. Just picked my Mazda 3 hatchback from Mid America Bodyshop and they did an excellent job. The whole front bumper and hood was gone and it looks way better now then it used to be. I'd prefer everyone to go there cause they're also very affordable and kind people.

These guys are the best!
I came in with two flat tires. I had been driving without a spare for too long, and it finally caught up with me when I ran over a nail in the road.
They offered a patch or a plug. I didn't know the difference, but they walked me through the decision, and whether I needed new tires. They leveled with me on everything, and didn't try to pressure me into buying unnecessary services or repairs.
They did a thorough job of checking out the tires, and getting them repaired.
I was able to get in and out of there in less than 20 minutes, and for a very reasonable price.
They offer used tires for much cheaper than I've seen at some of these other places.
These are my new go-to guys for tire repairs.

I got all my tires slashed one day and not only did Sam decide to help me fix my car but he also helped me get my car towed; i didnt have to call anyone or anything, he took care of everything- towing and fixing my car in a matter of 2 hours. We took my Cousin's BMW While I was in Chicago to several body shops for quotes on a damaged front bumper, Mid America Body was the only place that understood I wasn't looking to put all brand new parts on, rather use what's still in good enough condition and fix what's necessary. the estimator was friendly, patient and kept in communication while my car was being worked on. As a result I threw in a few other fixes since I wasn't being gouged with huge repair expense on the original quote, now my 2002 325i wagon is almost like new.

If you have a German car, definite recommendation for body work.

I just got my car back from mid America body shop and I couldn't be happier with their service. My car looks like it's brand new. I'd recommend these guys to anybody looking to have some repairs on their car. The pit match is absolutely perfect. I tried to take it to another body shop and they cried about how hard it was going to be to color match my paint color. I got my car back in 2 days. I took it to two other body shops that wanted ridiculous prices. These guts are fair and honest. Ask for Sam who is the general manager of the place.

I had a great experience at Mid America Body shop. The owners were very attentive and paid close attention to detail of my car. They did the work as expected and went beyond to ensure I was happy with the result. God forbid I need auto body work again, but in the event that I do, I will be coming back.

Great mechanics very helpful. Took my car to different mechanic shops in town they gave me bullshit and ripped me off. I took it here they figured out the problem and fixed right away. Definitely coming back again!!

I was on vacation in chicago and rented a car unfortunately it broke down on me and was very nervous I called the rental place and they never were able to help me out, I was referred to mid America body shop and thank God I went there!!!!! The owner took care of me more then I expected and was very kind and gave me the best treatment!! I highly recommend this place!!! They are very honest and they do an amazing job!!!!

This place is amazing, I got into a crash and my car was wrecked. I had to go somewhere reliable and safe, I came here got an amazing job done and I my car looks better than ever!

I have been using Mid America or many years. They have always done excellent, reasonably priced work, and the car is always returned on time. What I like most about them is that the work is not done until you are completely satisfied.
